The Downtown Line 3 (DTL3) will open on 21 October 2017, adding a whopping 16 stations to the line. They are:

  • Fort Canning
  • Bencoolen
  • Jalan Besar
  • Bendemeer
  • Geylang Bahru
  • Mattar
  • MacPherson
  • Ubi
  • Kaki Bukit
  • Bedok North
  • Bedok Reservoir
  • Tampines West
  • Tampines
  • Tampines East
  • Upper Changi
  • Expo

It will be the longest underground and driverless MRT line in Singapore.

The DTL3 Extension from Expo to new stations Xilin and Sungei Bedok, will open in 2024.

According to the LTA, the first stage of the Downtown Line will open on 22 December 2013, with six stations in the city area opening for service.

The stations are Bugis, Promenade, Bayfront, Downtown, Telok Ayer and Chinatown. These stations will link with three other MRT lines – the Circle Line, North East Line and East-West Line – enhancing connectivity in the city area.

DUO Residences will be directly connected to this station via underground link.

The second stage of the 42km line is from Bugis to Bukit Panjang, covering the Bukit Timah area, and is due to open in mid-2016.

The third stage of the Downtown Line will open in 2017 and will cover the east, stretching from Chinatown to Expo. Expo is just one station away from Urban Vista and The Glades.
